Community
Gatherings where moms meet other moms, swap stories, and leave with people they can call on.
KITH is a wellness program supporting all mothers through community and wellness.
kith (n.) friends, acquaintances, and community. From the old expression “kith and kin,” where kin means those related by blood.
People often ask where our name comes from. KITH comes from “kith and kin.” We intentionally left out “kin,” because KITH is about the family that we choose.
There’s nothing wrong with kin or the family we’re born into. KITH is interested in what exists outside of those inherited relationships, and what those relationships have the potential to become.
We wanted to create a space where moms could find community in one another, with people they may not be related to by blood, but who show up for each other in the ways that family would. A friend really can become family, and a community can become family.
You always have a family in us.
Gatherings where moms meet other moms, swap stories, and leave with people they can call on.
Time set aside for rest, movement, and care, because moms deserve to be looked after too.
Relationships that grow past a single session. The moms who joined on day one and the moms joining today belong here.
“I love my kin very much, but I love my kith just as deeply, because my kith has become my kin.”From the founder of KITH
